11. Highmore, in his History of the Honourable Artillery Company, states that the Finsbury Archers amalgamated with the Archery division of the H. A. C.; but this is an error, as there does not seem to have been an Archery division of the H. A. C. at all till it was formed by some of the members of the Toxophilite Society in 1784. If the Finsbury Archers had amalgamated with the H. A. C, how could the remaining Finsbury Archers in 1781 have given the plate, &c., which had belonged to them, to the Toxophilite Society
