New Book: "Archery: The Technical Side"—A compilation of scientific and technical articles on theory, construction use and performance of bows and arrows, reprinted from journals of science and of archery.
Edited by C. N. Hickman, Forrest Nagler & Paul E. Klopsteg, 1947.
Book containing a collection of articles on archery by scientists who studied the physics of archery in the 1930's and 1940's. Their work forms most of the basis of the modern bows we know today. The first article is Summary of Technical Articles on Archery: Velocity and Acceleration of Arrows. Weight and Efficiency of Bows as affected by Backing of Bow".
